1/3 serious accidents are caused by a side impact from a vehicle. The Orb keeps you safe and seen from the side at night. The Orb functions as a water bottle, but the lid contains four super-bright LEDs illuminating the bottle with over 70 lumens of light.
It allows drivers to see cyclists as they approach them from the side, using orange lights – the colour of side visibility on the road. The Orb also making use of the phenomenon of “biomotion” – by highlighting the pedalling motion of the rider’s legs, drivers have been found to identify cyclists from over three times further away.

Caring for your Orb
In order to care for your Orb, dry it out regularly. The bottle part is dishwasher safe, but the top section should not be placed in a dishwasher (we’ve heard reports of some surviving, but not all…), instead handwash with warm soapy water (try not to submerge). To clean around the nozzle, grasp the black silicon drinking part firmly and pull upwards to remove it. When replacing this part, ensure it is lined up with the internals of the orange piece. If your Orb also has a colourless silicone seal on the underside of the lid, this can also be gently removed and cleaned.

I bought this after a close encounter with a car on a roundabout. I have had it for just over a year and it has served me very well in all weathers. It’s very handy on long winter rides when the light fades and suddenly you’re harder to see on the bike.
As a bottle it’s great too. I have only put water in it but it does hold a good amount of it. The spout is easy to open and close with my mouth. It’s also easy to clean. I give it a wipe with a sponge after most rides.
Great product. Bought after I was hit by a car on the side going around a round about despite decent front and rear lights.
I feel much more confident I am visible now in such scenarios.
